Pridian debuted in 2022, comprising of guitarists Jörg-Erik Hanikat and Martin Randalu, drummer Robert Leht, and completed by singer Laur Lindmäe. The Estonian band quickly evolved their very own style and take on modern metal. Hailing from the capital of Estonia, Pridian develops a modern style of energetic and atmospheric metalcore with a futuristic edge while putting priorities on cinematic storytelling and a strong narrative concept in their lyrics, music, and visuals.
The band released their debut EP “Cybergnosis” in the fall of 2023. Their modern take on industrial soundscapes, metalcore, and catchy hooks made them known in the rising Estonian metal scene and beyond.
In 2024, just one week before opening Sunday’s mainstage at Euroblast Festival in Cologne – their first-ever performance in Germany and second live show outside of Estonia – the band announced their signing with German metal label Century Media Records to release their brand new single “NearDark”, embarking on a new chapter in the band’s history. Their first full-length album followed in May of 2025, titled “Venetian Dark”.
Drawing influences from different genres, Pridian’s debut album creates a modern metalcore sound reminiscent of many well-established acts, while sprinkling enough of their own spice into it. Their love for dark soundscapes consolidates in the overall sound of “Venetian Dark”, offering a versatile and intriguing debut album that highlights many of the band’s wide-spread influences and a subtle technicality.
